Massachusetts Contribution Rules (Quick Summary)
- Individuals: Up to $1,000 per calendar year to a candidate committee.
- Registered lobbyists: Prohibited.
- Donors under 18: Up to $25 total per calendar year to all committees combined.
- Cash: No more than $50 in cash from a single donor per calendar year.
- Money orders/bank checks: Up to $100 total per calendar year; larger amounts must be by personal check or online.
- Corporate/business contributions: Prohibited. No donations from corporations, LLCs, LLPs, partnerships, or business cards/accounts.
- Anonymous contributions: Cannot be accepted.
- Eligibility: Contributions must be made from personal funds, not reimbursed, and by a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
